This is an MP3 CD. It can be played only with a computer or by using an MP3 player. Because each CD must contain up to 12 hours of the author's voice recordings, audio CDs could not be used. The PTRE Home Study Course works like this. First, read a chapter in Practical Techniques for the Recording Engineer. Next, read the corresponding chapter in the PTRE Workbook Supplement. Now play the MP3 file (up to an hour in length) for the chapter you're working on. Answer the questions in the PTRE Workbook Supplement. Finish this chapter by comparing your answers to those provided on the MP3 CD.
